UTEP Miners

The UTEP women's golf team took fourth place at the Islander Classic, which concluded on Tuesday in Corpus Christi, Texas.

The Miners had a final score of 940 with rounds of 315, 306 and 319.

Teresa Nogues tied for third place, shooting a nine-over-par 225 (76-75-74) to lead UTEP. Ana Pastor tied for 20th place (81-75-80-236), Liz Sobczak tied for 28th place (81-78-82-241), Rosana Gomez tied for 31st place (78-81-83-242), and Deborah Martinez tied for 38th place (80-78-86-244).

Tulsa was champion of the 12-team event (315-303-306-924).
