UTEP Miners

The UTEP women's golf team picked up a ninth-place finish at the UALR Classic on Tuesday in Little Rock, Ark.

The Miners shot 308 on the tournament's final day, giving them a two-day total of 924. Oral Roberts won the 19-team event, firing 903 as a team.

Rosana Gomez tied for 16th place with a 10-over-par 226 (74-75-77) to lead UTEP. Teresa Nogues tied for 18th place (74-79-74-227), Shang-Fan Huang tied for 40th place (78-78-77-233), Liz Sobczak tied for 74th place (78-82-80-240) and Ana Pastor tied for 78th place (79-80-83-242).
