Sophomore Camino Sardinero tied for 33rd place, leading the UTEP women's golf team at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate on Sunday in Palm Desert, Calif.
The Miners shot 937 (314-313-310) as a team to finish in 10th place. Fresno State won the 19-team tournament (291-289-305-885).
Sardinero carded a 232 with a strong final round (80-79-73). Nathalie Castillo tied for 37th place (77-79-78-234), Emma Burman tied for 41st place (77-76-82-235), Emma Edin tied for 55th place (81-79-80-240) and Maria Velasco tied for 69th place (80-84-79-243).
UTEP will wrap up its fall season at the Blue Raider Invitational Oct. 22-23 in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
