ROUND 2 RESULTS
LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. – UTEP Women's Golf improved three spots on the leaderboard in the second round of play at the Pat Bradley Invitational on Monday with the Miners now in sixth place entering the final round at the Lakewood Ranch Golf Club in Lakewood Ranch, Florida.
As a team, UTEP shot 290 in the second round, a six-shot improvement from the first-round total score of 296. The Miners are 10-over-par entering Tuesday's final round.
Individually, UTEP's
Valeria Mendizabal shaved five shots off her score from the first round after the junior shot 67 (-5) on Monday to finish tied for second overall.
Audrey Haddad continued her good form from the opening day after she shot 72 (E) in the second round to close out the first two rounds tied for fifth place. In Sunday's first round, the Miners were led by Haddad, who shot 3-under-par 69.
Additionally,
Sophie Delfosse finished the day right behind Haddad after shooting 73 (+1) in the second round to go along with her score of 76 from the opening round.
Taylor Stone closed out the second round with a two-day total of 159 (79, 80; +15), while
Andrea Ostos shot 78 on Monday, a four-shot improvement from her opening-round score of 82.
UTEP will tee off in the final round beginning at 8 a.m. ET on Tuesday morning, while the Miners will be paired with Cincinnati and FIU for tomorrow's third round.
