UTEP Set to Announce Men’s Basketball All-Century Team

EL PASO – To commemorate "100 Seasons of UTEP Basketball" season, UTEP Athletics is proud to announce the UTEP Men's Basketball All-Century Team.  The team members will be unveiled today (Friday, March 5) through Tuesday (March 9). 
 
Ten players earned automatic selection to the team by being voted to the UTEP Basketball Centennial Team in 2014 – Nate Archibald (1967-70), Jim Barnes (1962-64), Randy Culpepper (2007-11), Antonio Davis(1986-90), Tim Hardaway (1985-89), Bobby Joe Hill (1964-67), Jeep Jackson (1983-87), Stefon Jackson(2005-09), David Lattin (1965-67), and Nolan Richardson (1960-63). 
 
The additional 10 members were voted in by the fans. Follow UTEP MBB on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to see the selections.  The social media posts will include all 20 members and supporting information to include their career accolades and stats.  
 
To this day, UTEP is the only school in the state of Texas to claim a men's basketball national championship. Overall, the Miners have played 2,514 games and posted 1,422 victories. UTEP has appeared in 17 NCAA Tournament, 30 postseason tournaments, and won 12 conference titles.
