"I am fired up that David chose to continue his family's legacy by becoming a UTEP Miner. David was a priority for my staff from the moment we saw him, and we couldn't be more excited for him to join our program. What excites me most about David is his versatility as a point guard offensively, his passion to be an elite defender, and most importantly his winning mentality. He's been coached by two of the most respected men in Texas, playing for Coach Emund Prichett at Mansfield Summit and on the EYBL Circuit for Drive Nation and Coach Brandon Espinosa, which have prepared him to come in and make an immediate impact on our program. He stands for everything that it means to play at UTEP."
"I would like to thank my family first off for believing in me and supporting me as I worked to accomplish my dream of playing Division I Basketball. I am excited to continue the legacy and being a second generation UTEP Miner. I can't wait to join my teammates in El Paso and get to work!"
