Members of both the men's and women's golf teams will be attendance at the contest for meet-and-greet opportunities and more. There will also be special in-game activities and prize giveaways.
 
The Miners, who will welcome FIU to the Don Haskins Center at 7 p.m. MT Thursday to start the homestand, are coming off a thrilling comeback win at Charlotte. UTEP trailed by as many as 13 points in the first half before rallying for a 60-58 win to hand the 49ers their first home loss of the season.
 
UTEP will be in search of its first win against a ranked opponent since knocking off No. 25 UAB on the road, 74-65, in double OT on Jan. 30, 2010. The Miners are also seeking their initial triumph at home against an AP top-25 foe since defeating No. 20 Fresno State, 80-61, on Feb. 17, 2001.
