EL PASO, Texas – Individuals hoping to attend any of the UTEP men's basketball summer camps are encouraged to sign up today to assure a spot, which will be directed by head coach
Joe Golding.
There are five camps on the docket, which are in the form of the UTEP high school elite camp (June 8, current 9th-12th grade), the UTEP shooting and skills camp (June 28-29, ages 9-12), the Miner basketball camp (July 15-18, ages 10-18), a second UTEP shooting and skills camp (July 12-13, ages 13-18) and the Mini Miner basketball camp (July 22-24, ages 5-9).
Individuals at all the camps will have to the chance to connect with and be taught essential skills by Golding, who led the Miners to 18 wins and their first appearance in the CUSA Tournament Championship game since 2011 during the 2023-24 season. He has now led UTEP to two winning records in three years at the helm of the program.
Participants will go through drills the Miners use and be directed by Golding on UTEP's official practice court inside the Foster Stevens Center. They will also have the chance to learn from, meet, get autographs and take pictures with members of the men's basketball team. Golding and company are looking forward to teaching the game of basketball.
Each camp/clinic is open to any and all entrants (limited only by number, age, grade level).
