DALLAS – UTEP's Kalia Kohler earned Conference USA Volleyball Setter of the Week honors announced by the league office Monday afternoon.

Kohler directed UTEP's offense with consistency and poise in the Miners' title-winning weekend at the Southwest Showdown. The junior setter ran the offense across 10 sets, posting 76 assists (7.6 per set) and guiding the team to an impressive .303 hitting percentage. Kohler accounted for over half of UTEP's total assists (76-of-139) and contributed in all facets with four service aces, three kills, and a flawless weekend behind the service line. Her steady play shined brightest in the championship match, where she was named Player of the Match in the Miners' 3-1 win over Texas State.

- This marks the 11th weekly conference honor of her career and her first solo recognition at the setter position.
- Kohler, who previously earned six co-setter honors alongside teammate Mattie Gantt and five as a freshman, now owns the most weekly conference accolades in program history — both overall and by a setter.
- She also becomes just the fifth setter in UTEP history to claim a solo honor.
- This continues a trend of early-season recognition for the Miners, as UTEP has produced a conference weekly award winner in each of the first two weeks of the season for the second straight year.
