2022 All-Conference USA Third Team (DMR Indoor)
2022 OUTDOOR (SOPHOMORE)
- Competed at the Bryan Clay Invitational in the 800m run.
- Placed fourth in the 800m run (1:54.63) at the Conference USA Championships.
- Took ninth place in the 1500m run (3:56.92) at the Conference USA Championships.
2022 INDOOR (SOPHOMORE)
- Competed with the distance medley relay team, placing second (10:18.42) at the New Mexico Team Open.
- Ran with the DMR team that finished third (10:02.33) at the Conference USA Championships.
- Competed in the mile race, advancing to the finals at the C-USA Championships.
- Ran the 800 and mile at the Don Kirby Open & Elite.
2021 OUTDOOR (SOPHOMORE)
- Ran a personal-best 1:54.64 in the 800-meter race at the Conference USA Championships.
- Also competed in the 800 at the UTSA Invitational, Masked Rider Open and Desert Heat Classic.
- Clocked in a personal-best 4:09.80 in the 1500-meter run at the Masked Rider Open.
- Also ran the 1500 at the Bobcat Invitational.
PRIOR TO UTEP
- Competed at South Plains from 2018 thru 2020.
- Registered a personal-best 28:47.3 in the 8K at the 2018 NJCAA D1 National Championships.
- Ran a personal-best 23:59.2 in the 7K at the NMJC Cross Country Invitational 2018.
- Clocked in a 1:54.26 in the 800m, placing fourth at the 2019 NMJC Ross Black Open.
- Finished seventh with a personal-best 4:04.75 in the 1500m at the 2019 ACU Oliver Jackson Twilight.
- Clocked a personal-best 2:33.12 in the 1000m, placing sixth at the 2020 Texas Tech Matador Qualifier.
- Finished fourth in the 800m (1:57.66) at the Matador Qualifier.
PERSONAL: Yusuf Abdelle Mohamud is the son of Hawo Yusuf and Abdulle Mohamud … has six siblings … born in Somali, Africa … multidisciplinary studies major.
