2017 OUTDOOR: Medical RS

2016 OUTDOOR: Launched a career-best and seventh-longest throw in program history of 73.64m (241-07) to win the javelin at the UTEP Springtime meet … came close to reaching that mark again at the Sun Angel Track Classic throwing 71.72m (235-04) … competed at the NCAA West Preliminaries Championships placing 25th overall.

2015 OUTDOOR: Launched a season-best throw at the UTEP Invitational with a mark of 72.74m (238-08) to finish first … placed 20th at the NCAA Championships with a javelin throw of 65.52m (214-11) … collected a ninth-place finish at the NCAA West Preliminaries with a heave of 67.89m (222-09) … finished third at the Conference USA Championships in the javelin throw with a heave of 68.86m (225-11) … took gold at the UTEP Springtime (67.91m) and Brutus Hamilton Challenge (67.06m) … registered a second-place finish at the Sun Angel Classic with a javelin heave of 70.35m (234-06) … member of the men's team that finished second at the Conference USA Championships.

PERSONAL: Son of Eeva and Keijo Maukonen … majoring in mechanical engineering … trained under the guidance of Riku Valleala, who finished fifth at the 1998 NCAA Championships in the javelin throw for the University of Georgia … born in Jyvaskyla, Finland.
