Former Miner Jade Rochelle was named the director of basketball operations for UTEP women's basketball in June of 2022.
Rochelle played at UTEP from 2018-20 after starting her collegiate career at Blinn College.
Prior to arriving in El Paso for her final two years as a player, Rochelle averaged a double-double with 10.9 points and 10.3 rebounds per game at Blinn College. She then saw action in 59 games with the Miners over the course of her junior and senior seasons. With UTEP, Rochelle ranked second on the team with 55 offensive rebounds during her junior campaign. Her senior season was highlighted by a career-high 15 points and six steals in a win over Weber State.
Rochelle graduated from Howard Payne University with a master's of business administration degree.
