The UTEP men's golf team finished eighth at the District 7 Shootout on Tuesday in Las Vegas, Nev.
San Diego State won the 15-team event (279-271-272-822), followed by Boise State (285-277-274-836). Colorado State (283-277-288-848) and Denver (289-277-282-848) tied for third place.
UTEP's team score was 855 (283-287-285).
San Diego State's Aaron Goldberg was the individual medalist (68-66-67-201), winning in a playoff over Boise State's Troy Merritt (69-62-70-201).
The Miners' Zac Hildenbrand tied for 16th place (68-75-67-210), Roger Sloan tied for 24th place (70-72-71-213) and Colby Lindsay tied for 38th place (72-71-72-215). Chad Keohane (73-73-75-221) and Josh Taylor (75-71-75-221) tied for 62nd place.
