EL PASO, Texas - UTEP student-athletes Mickael Hanany (Men's Track and Field) and Morgan Glenn (Women's Rifle) have been selected to represent UTEP Athletics at the 2007 Division I Regional Leadership Conference, announced officials Wednesday. The event is to be held October 12-14 in Dallas, Texas.
"The UTEP athletics department values opportunities to develop our student-athletes and staff," said Senior Associate Athletics Director, Lisa Campos. "It is important for students to continue to gain leadership skills outside the playing field."
The weekend includes sessions that are aimed at further developing each participant's leadership skills.
Also attending the conference will be Shalena Brown, Life Skills Coordinator.
Both Hanany and Glenn are members of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and will share what they learned with other UTEP student-athletes.
