Trevor Vittatoe became UTEP's all-time leader for passing touchdowns, passing yards and total offense in the Miners' 44-24 win over Rice on Saturday in the Sun Bowl.
Vittatoe completed 19-of-32 passes for 327 yards with three touchdowns as UTEP improved to 5-1 on the season. He threw TD passes of 26, 18 and 73 yards, all to Kris Adams. Vittatoe now has 89 passing touchdowns, 11,260 yards passing and 11,117 yards of offense in his UTEP career.
He is tied for 21st on the NCAA FBS career passing touchdowns list with Tennessee's Peyton Manning and Marshall's Byron Leftwich. He is also 25th on the NCAA career passing yardage chart
