Nineteen UTEP student-athletes will earn their degrees from the university and go through commencement procedures on Saturday.
The list includes 13 football representatives, three from men's basketball, two from volleyball and one from women's basketball.
Highlighting the group are men's basketball standouts Randy Culpepper, Gabe McCulley and Julyan Stone, all of whom are earning their diplomas in three and a half years. Culpepper and Stone are seniors on this year's squad and McCulley, who redshirted last season, is a junior.
Culpepper ranks third on UTEP's all-time scoring list with 1,809 points, and Stone needs three assists to break Tim Hardaway's school record. Hardaway had 563 dimes from 1985-89, and Stone has 561 heading into a home game versus Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Sunday.
Vittatoe is UTEP's all-time leader for passing yards (12,194), passing touchdowns (94) and total offense (12,089 yards). He ranks 15th on the all-time Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) passing list, as well as 18th in total offense and tied for 18th in passing TDs.
Adams has caught a pass in 36 consecutive games to rank among the national leaders. He is third in UTEP history in touchdown receptions (27), as well as sixth in receiving yards (2,504) and seventh in receptions (141).
Vittatoe and Adams are two of 12 UTEP football student-athletes who will graduate on Saturday, then play their final college game against BYU in the New Mexico Bowl on Dec. 18. The others are Saul Adame, Chancey Dariso, Elijah Goldtrap, Pierce Hunter, Jonny Moore, Anthony Morrow, Alex Solot, Robert Soleyjacks, James Thomas and Jason Williams.
Rounding out the list of graduates are former football player Jo Jo Ortiz, Martia Micula (women's basketball), and Marie-Therese Joyce & KeAnne Langford (volleyball).
