She led the Miners in kills, posting a career-high 22 kills and recorded a .500 hitting percentage against Tulane leading the Miners to a 3-2 victory. The sophomore also knows how to protect the net, posting four blocks (3s/1a) against the Golden Eagles. Horton hammered 3.62 kills per set, as she compiled 29 kills this weekend. The Fresno, Calif., native recorded her second 20+ kill performance of the season against the Green Wave.
Vernon Frazier Football
He rushed for a career-high 167 yards and scored two touchdowns in UTEP's 31-17 victory over Colorado State. Frazier's previous best was 89 yards in 2010. Frazier registered runs of 48-yards and 83-yards, both resulting in touchdowns. Frazier's 83-yard scoring run in the third quarter tied for the fifth-longest rushing play in school history. Frazier also registered a 48-yard scoring run while averaging a team-best 23.9 yards per carry.
