Anthony Rotich, Cross Country
Anthony Rotich capped a great freshman year in cross country by finishing fourth at the 2012 NCAA Cross Country Championships Nov. 17. Rotich was a threat on the course as he was the first freshman to cross the finish line with a time of 29:13.5 in the 10K race. The All-American took fourth place at the NCAA meet and finished ahead of 241 runners. The last time a Miner on the men's side finished in the top four was in 1983, when Zak Barie claimed the crown.

Risper Kimaiyo, Cross Country
Risper Kimaiyo concluded a stellar cross country career by finishing in the top five at the 2012 NCAA Cross Country Championships Nov. 17. She registered a personal-best of 19:41.0 in the 6K. The senior became the first woman in program history to receive four cross country All-American honors. She ended the season with six top three performances and multiple post-season honors in the Orange and Blue.
