Risper Kimaiyo Women's Track & Field
All-American Risper Kimaiyo was in dominant form by securing a pair of medals at the 2012 Conference USA Indoor Track & Field Championships. On the first day of the event she blew away the competition, both present and past, with a meet-standard setting clocking of 16:10.37 in a gold-medal performance in the 5,000-meters. The next day she finished with a readout of 9:32.96 to secure a solid third-place showing.
Anthony Wright Men's Track & Field
Anthony Wright turned in a tremendous performance to win the 60m dash at the 2012 Conference USA Indoor Track & Field Championships. He clocked a person-best 6.74 in the event to top the field. The junior's time rated as the 10th fastest in school history & checks in 42nd nationally in the event this year. Wright also punched his ticket to the finals of the 200-meters but by churning out a time of 21.83 but he did not place in the championship run.
