Men's Track & Field, Daniel Tarango
Daniel Tarango took the track in the 800m for the first time this outdoor season. The distance runner blazed past the competition registering a season-best time of 1:51.58 at the Texas Tech Open. The freshman time secured him the top spot in the Conference USA performance list, thus far.
Women's Track & Field, Nickevea Wilson
Nickevea Wilson, Women's Track & FieldNickevea Wilson opened the outdoor season with a first place finish at the Texas Tech Open. The sophomore registered the 16th-best mark nationally with a leap of 12.72m (41-08.75) in the triple jump. Her jump also earned her the top spot in the league and ranks the jumper sixth in the school annals.
