Anthony Rotich, Men's Track and Field
Anthony Rotich ran a tough race taking on the worlds top distance runners at the Stanford Invitational. The All-American clocked in the third-fastest time in the nation in the 5,000m with a personal best of 13:34.84. The sophomore was the third collegiate runner to cross the finish line at the meet; also his time secured him the No. 4 spot in the school recordbook.
Risper Kimaiyo, Women's Track and Field
Risper Kimaiyo ran the 10,000m for the first time in her collegiate career at the Stanford Invitational. The All-American returns to the track one last season after suffering an injury last season and has sprinted out in the Orange and Blue posting the seventh-fastest time in the nation with a time of 33:24.21. Additionally, the senior's time ranks third all time at UTEP.
