Autrey Golden proved to be a triple threat as he led UTEP past Old Dominion on Saturday (42-35). The junior running back took a different role for the Miners guiding the team with six receptions for a career-best 70 yards and two touchdowns. UTEP dominated the running game against the Monarchs compiling for 338 yards (Team ranks 21st in the nation in rushing offense (236.0)). Golden contributed to the Miners success by registering 51 rushing yards on two attempts. One of which was a career-long 37-yard rush. But why stop there; the Willis native had two kickoff returns for 48 yards. Golden finished the night with 169 all-purpose yards ranking him ninth in the league with an average of 106.0.

Lindsey Larson Soccer
Lindsay Larson helped the UTEP volleyball team sweep a pair of road matches. She registered a double-double (45 assists and 16 digs) to help get the Miners knock off UAB, 3-2, to secure their first Conference USA win of the year on Oct. 10. Larson followed that up by aiding the team's offense with 35 assists in a 3-1 conquest of Middle Tennessee on Oct. 12.
