UTEP XC to Compete at OSU Invitational in Stillwater Saturday Morning

Men's 8K Course | Women's 6K Course

EL PASO – The UTEP cross country team will make its second trip to Stillwater, Okla., of the season to take the course at the 2020 OSU Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 17.

The men's 8K race will start at 8 a.m. MT, followed by the women's 6K at 8:50 a.m. MT on the newly renovated state-of-the-art OSU Cross Country Course.

Making the trip to the Sooner State on the women's side are Carolyne Chepkosgei, Karoline Daland, Valerie Gonzalez, Joan Kimaiyo, Andrea Lucero, and Jacquilyn Orozco. Competing for the men are Titus Cheruiyot, Cornelius Kapel, Rodgers Korir, Yusuf Mohamud, Boaz Ronoh, Michael Sims, and Kenneth Talavera. Mohamud, a junior transfer, will make his cross-country collegiate debut.

The Miners will compete against BYU, Kansas State, NAU, Oklahoma, Oklahoma Christian, host Oklahoma State, Southern Utah, Utah Valley State, and Weber State.

UTEP opened the condensed season in Stillwater, as it competed in the 82^nd annual Cowboy Jamboree on Oct. 3. The campaign will conclude on Halloween (Saturday, Oct. 31) at the 2020 Conference USA Championships in Birmingham, Ala.
