Lawrence Livingston and Eric Price joined the UTEP football coaching staff on Friday as announced by head coach Mike Price.
Livingston will be the assistant head coach and overlook the offensive line, while Price will be the offensive coordinator.
Price and Livingston join Jeff Banks (running backs, punters, recruiting coordinator) and Jim Clark (cornerbacks), Aaron Price (quarterbacks, kickers) and Jeff Woodruff (linebackers) on the coaching staff.

Brings a wealth of collegiate coaching experience to UTEP, where he will be the Miners' assistant head coach and offensive line coach...has coached in the college game for 20 years...previously was the head coach and offensive coordinator at Earlham College during the 2003 season...coached two seasons at Wyoming (2001-02), where he was the running game coordinator and the offensive line coach...coached the tight ends and assisted with the offensive line at Arizona in 2000...served as the running backs coach at Texas A&M from 1998-99...helped guide A&M to an 11-3 record in 1998, the Big 12 Conference championship, a number nine national ranking and an appearance in the Bowl Championship Series &emdash; facing Ohio State in the Sugar Bowl...the Aggies posted an 8-4 record in his second season and matched up with Penn State in the Alamo Bowl...served as an assistant to Mike Price at Washington State (offensive line coach, 1995-97) and Weber State (assistant offensive line coach 1986-87, offensive line coach 1989-94)...in 1997 WSU posted a 10-2 record, won the Pac-10 title and earned its first bid to the Rose Bowl since 1931...WSU finished the year ranked ninth nationally, and second in total offense (502.2 ypg) and scoring offense (42.5 ppg)...the Cougars also ranked fourth in the country in passing offense (344.5 ypg) in 1997...Livingston began his coaching career as an offensive line assistant at Weber State...he coached the offensive line at the United States Military Academy in 1988, assisting the Cadets to a Sun Bowl appearance...a 1986 graduate of Weber State, he was four-year starter and a three-time All-Big Sky Conference selection...he and his wife, Michelle, have two sons, Lawrence, Jr. (13) and Theodore (12)...born 7/27/61 (Showlow, Ariz.).

Comes to UTEP after serving as the offensive coordinator and receivers coach at the University of Alabama during the spring of 2003...worked as an offensive assistant with the New York Jets during the 2001 and 2002 seasons under offensive coordinator Paul Hackett... with the Jets he was instrumental in the development of quarterback Chad Pennington, who led the NFL in passing efficiency during the 2002 season...Price coached the quarterbacks at Washington State from 1998-00...after prepping at Ogden High in Utah, Price lettered as a receiver at Dixie Junior College (1986-87) and Weber State (1988-89), where he graduated with a degree in physical education in 1990...Price worked as the wide receivers and tight ends coach at his alma mater in 1990, tutoring Walter Payton Award winner Jamie Martin...coached as a graduate assistant during the spring of 1991 at Washington State, helping with the wide receivers and the quarterbacks, among them Drew Bledsoe...spent one year at Hawaii (1991) and two seasons as a graduate assistant for Dennis Erickson at Miami (1992-93), helping coach the wide receivers...Hawaii's offense ranked fifth in the nation in 1991...Miami ranked first nationally in passing offense in 1992, and played for the national title in the Sugar Bowl...Miami's three wide receivers in 1992 went on to start in the NFL...the Hurricanes also earned a bid to the Fiesta Bowl in 1993...Miami was 20-4 during Price's two seasons on the staff...Price also had two-year stints as receivers coach at Cal Poly (1994-95) and Northern Arizona (1996-97)...Cal Poly ranked second in NCAA I-AA in passing and total offense in 1995...Northern Arizona reached the 1996 I-AA playoffs for the first time in school history, and closed the year with a #6 national ranking...NAU led the nation in total offense, and was third in passing...Price caught 77 passes for over 1,000 yards during his high school career, and led the state in receiving in 1985...he was chosen a USA Today honorable mention All-American as a senior...he and his wife, Jody, have a daughter, Emma, who will be two years old in March...born 9/12/66 (Pullman, Wash.).
