Higgins Makes Another All-America Team

UTEP senior wide receiver Johnnie Lee Higgins, Jr. has been named to his second All-America team, earning third team honors by the Associated Press.

The first team wideouts are Georgia Tech's Calvin Johnson and USC's Dwayne Jarrett. Second team selections are Rice's Jarrett Dillard and Notre Dame's Jeff Samardzija.

Higgins was appointed to the AFCA Coaches' All-America Team last month. He averaged 109.9 yards receiving per game in 2006 to rank second nationally. He was also third in the country in all-purpose yards (156.1 avg.). Higgins is UTEP's all-time leader for receiving yards (3,218) and receiving touchdowns (32).
