RENO, Nev. - Alix Moncada fired a team-high 591 in air gun against Nevada, but it was not enough as the UTEP rifle team fell to the Wolfpack on Saturday in Reno.
Nevada ended the day with a combined score of 4622 (2328 AR/2294 SM) while UTEP finished with a combined aggregate of 4568 (2300 AR/2268 SB).
Coming off hand surgery, Mocanda's 591 score was her fifth performance recording over the 590-plus mark. She fired 573 in smallbore.
Andrea Palafox ended the day firing scores of 579 and 566 in the air gun and smallbore respectively.
Josie Burzynski registered scores of 574 and 545 and Hannah Muegge rounded out the group with scores of 567 and 560.
The Miners return to action on Jan. 30 at TCU in Fort Worth, Texas.
