  • UTEP dropped to 5-8 all-time in bowl games with its fifth straight loss. The Miners are 7-29-1 versus BYU.
  • Dakota Warren's 52-yard field goal in the first quarter made him 3-for-5 from 50+ yards this season. The other two makes came versus Memphis (57 & 50 yards).

  • Marlon McClure's 72-yard kickoff return in the first quarter was a New Mexico Bowl record and his third-longest return of the season (100 yards at Arkansas, 73 yards at Tulsa).
  • Trevor Vittatoe concludes his college career having started all 49 games that he played in. Only Minnesota's Adam Weber owns more career starts (50) among active FBS quarterbacks.
  • Vittatoe ends his career with 12,439 yards passing (14th on the all-time FBS list), 97 touchdown passes (15th) and 12,291 yards of total offense (15th).
  • Vittatoe is third on the C-USA career total offense list, having eclipsed Louisville's Chris Redman today.
  • Kris Adams' career also ends with a reception in each of his last 37 collegiate games.
  • Adams recorded 30 touchdown receptions in his career, the second-top total in UTEP history behind Johnnie Lee Higgins Jr.'s 32. Adams is also fourth in school annals with 2,657 receiving yards, and tied for fourth with ten 100-yard receiving games.
  • Adams is the first player in school history to have four games with three touchdown receptions. Chuck Hughes (1964-66) and Johnnie Lee Higgins Jr. (2003-06) each achieved the feat in three games.
  • Adams' 153 receiving yards were a career-high (previous best 148 yards at Arkansas earlier this season).
  • The 2010 Miners finished the season with 1,538 kickoff return yards, a school record. The previous standard was 1,365 yards in 2008.
  • The 202 kickoff returns today marked the eighth-highest game total in school history.
  • The -12 rushing yards were the fewest by a UTEP team since compiling -53 rushing yards at New Mexico in 2001.
  • UTEP bowl records established today included receiving yards (Kris Adams 153) and kickoff return yards (Marlon McClure 125, ties the record).
  • In 13 games this season, UTEP's opponent scored a touchdown on its initial drive seven times.
