2013-14 Season Stats
BOISE, Idaho - The UTEP women's tennis team defeated Lewis & Clark, 7-0, on Friday afternoon at the Appleton Tennis Center.
The Miners (7-8, 2-1 Conference USA) swept all singles and doubles matches.
Rebeca Calvillo defeated Rye Hewett, 6-2, 6-1, at the No.1 spot, upping her spring record to 9-5 in dual-match singles play. Davina Meza and Marie LeBlond each won their eight match of the season, besting Florencia Martina, 6-0, 6-3, at No. 2, and Deanri Human, 6-2, 6-0, at No. 3, respectively. Gabi Vazquez also won a ninth match, outmatching Bryn Oliveira, 6-3, 6-1, at the No. 4 position.
In doubles action, Calvillo and Meza are now 9-3 after winning over Lauren Lang and Florencia Martina, 8-2. Matilda Rose Tench and Vazquez have won their seventh match (7-1), defeating Netti Dayhuff and Rye Hewett, 8-1.
UTEP will face Boise State on Saturday at 1 p.m. MT.
