UTEP 0, BYU 3
EL PASO, Texas – No. 9 BYU used size and experience to outmatch the Miners, 3-0 (25-17, 25-6, 25-16). UTEP now stands at 1-6 in nonconference play.
Freshman Coline Coessens lead the Orange and Blue with eight kills while Lindsey Larson chipped in 21 assists and Dayana Acevedo Rios delivered 11 kills.
The Miners hammered out a .353 hitting percentage in the first set but it wasn’t enough to stop the Cougars who registered a .571.

In the final set, the Miners commanded nine BYU errors but could not get an offensive rhythm as they only produced seven kills.
