2014-15 UTEP Tennis Stats 

EL PASO, Texas - The UTEP women's tennis team defeated Sam Houston State, 5-2, at the El Paso Tennis & Swim Club on Sunday afternoon.

The Miners improve to 4-1 on the season as they captured the doubles point for the early advantage. Davina Meza and Duda Santos took down Olivia Battye and Karen Martinez, 6-2, at the no. 1 position, while Daphne Visscher and Lois Wagenvoort defeated Bailey Van Dyke and Fabienne Gettwart, 6-4.

On the singles side, Meza cruised by Gettwart, 6-2, 6-2, Jeannez Daniel bested Van Dyke, 6-3, 6-2, Santos claimed victory over Mila Milanovic, 7-4, 6-2, and Matilda Tench was triumphant over Caitlyn Mitchell, 6-1, 7-5.

UTEP will return to action when it hosts Big 10 school Wisconsin on Feb. 27, UTPB on Feb. 28, and Conference USA foe UTSA on March 1. All matches will be played at the El Paso Tennis & Swim Club and will start at noon.
