2014-15 UTEP Tennis Stats
EL PASO, Texas - The UTEP women's tennis team took care of business, sweeping UTPB, 7-0, on Saturday afternoon at the El Paso Tennis & Swim Club.
The Falcons (2-5) were no match for the Miners (5-2), as the doubles point was clinched early - about 30 minutes into the contest. All singles matches were won in two sets as the entire match was finished in just under two hours.
Senior Anastasiya Sylenko won her first dual singles match, defeating Sydney Holdampf, 6-2, 6-4. It was Sylenko's first match of the spring season.
The Miners will close out the weekend against Conference USA opponent UTSA. The match will start at 11 a.m. MT due to UTSA's flight time, as opposed to the noon slated start.
Sunday's match will also feature "Davina Day", as senior caption Davina Meza will be honored prior to the match.
