UTEP Miners

Katia Gallegos made a name for herself even before getting to UTEP, starring with the U18 Mexican National Team at FIBA Championships. She gained tremendous experience playing against top-tier talent, which has helped her transition into the starting point guard for the UTEP women's basketball team. Although she's only a freshman, she has emerged as one of the leaders for the squad and has the Miners near the top of the Conference USA standings early on in league action.
