EL PASO, Texas – Veronika Lebisova (Gymnazium Boskovice) from the Czech Republic has signed a national letter to attend UTEP and compete with the Miner tennis team starting in the fall of 2020, UTEP tennis head coach
Ivan Fernandez announced Friday.

Ample experience competing internationally … won a region junior championship in 2019 and a senior region crown in 2018 … part of a doubles team that won the U14 title in the Czech Republic in 2015 … has been playing tennis for 13 years … recognized as an outstanding student at her high school.
"We are very excited to welcome Veronika to the UTEP tennis family. She brings a lot of international experience in both singles and doubles. She will have a tremendous impact in our lineup immediately. Assistant coach Joanna Furdyna did a great job finding her and getting her to sign with us. Veronika was being heavily recruited, and we are extremely happy she signed with us."
