Ashley Padilla Joins UTEP Soccer

EL PASO, Texas-  Ashley Padilla ((NM Rush/ CO Rush DA) has signed a national letter of intent to attend UTEP and play with the Miner soccer program beginning with the 2020 fall season, UTEP head coach Kathryn Balogun announced Wednesday.

Standout defender for the New Mexico Rush and the Colorado Rush Academy … also a proven offensive threat who contributed 14 goals and 18 assists … has played in numerous high-profile events, including the DA Showcase, Regionals, Surf Cup, Vega's Cup Tournament, PDT and State Cup Tournaments … was born in El Paso and her parents attended UTEP … has three siblings.
 
"We are excited to add Ashley to our team for 2020. Ashley comes to us from New Mexico Rush and Colorado Rush Academy. She led her team as a tough defender who can play in a few different positions along the back line, but also adds in to the attack by getting forward and contributing with goals and assists.  Ashley has deep family ties to El Paso and UTEP. Ashley was born in El Paso and her parents attended UTEP.  We are really looking forward to welcoming her back home!"
