EL PASO, Texas – The UTEP rifle team will face off against Ohio State in a pair of matches on Saturday (Nov. 20) and Sunday (Nov. 21) at 8 a.m. MT at the UTEP Rifle Range. Both teams will close out the fall slate.
"We worked hard this week," head coach
Austin Litherland said. "We have worked through our positions and mental game to get prepared this weekend. What we learned from our other matches will be applied here."
Last Match Recap
Isabel Brooks led the Miners once again with an aggregate of 1167 last match against TCU and Nebraska.
Morgahn Warner followed with an aggregate of 1143 for the campaign. Brooks was ranked in the top-10 individuals and was the top scorer for UTEP in both disciplines.
Scouting Ohio State
Ohio State recently placed third in a four-team match at West Virginia behind West Virginia and Air Force, and ahead of Army. The squad is led by Viktor Kiss who shot a team-high in both disciplines last match.
"We are excited to host and compete against Ohio State this weekend to finish out our fall portion of the season," Litherland said.
