Jovicevic Kovacic to Make UTEP Debut at Trinity Forest Invitational

EL PASO, Texas – After starting the spring season last week in Phoenix, the UTEP women's golf team returns to action March 7-8 at the Trinity Forest Invitational hosted by SMU at the Trinity Forest Golf Club (par 72 - 6,460 yards) in Dallas. 
 
Each day of the tournament will get underway at 8 a.m. CT. On Monday, participants will compete in 36 holes, with 18 more to follow on Tuesday for the final round. Live stats will be available here.
 
The Miners are one of 16 total teams in the field, joining SMU, Texas Tech, UNLV, UTSA, New Mexico, South Florida, Texas State, Tulane, Tulsa, New Mexico State, Memphis, Northern Illinois, UAB and Dallas Baptist. SMU will be represented by both an "A" team and a "B" team.
 
After earning C-USA Golfer of the Week accolades last week, Sophie Delfosse leads the participants for UTEP at the Trinity Forest Invitational. 
 
Andrea Ostos, Marta Romeu Chen, Ella Hammond-Baveystock and Tijana Jovicevic Kovacic will all be competing for UTEP as well. Jovicevic Kovacic, a seven-time Slovenian National Champion, will be making her debut for the Miners after spending the past seven years as a member of the Slovenian women's national team. 
 
Trinity Forest Golf Club features four par-5 holes, 10 par-4 holes and four par-3 holes.
