"The thing I love most about Shamar is that he stayed loyal to Evansville for all four years. He was a terrific all-conference guard in the Missouri Valley. He's also a fantastic on-ball defender. He's a leader, and he's a winner. He comes from a great family, has a great story and has a chip on his shoulder. We're excited that he decided to use his last year of eligibility at UTEP."
