EL PASO, Texas – UTEP volleyball head coach Ben Wallis tacks on a new international addition to the 2022-23 roster, Serbian outside hitter Sara Pustahija.
 
"Sara Pustahija is a complete steal for us and the fact that we were able to get her away from several Power 5 programs will tell you a lot about her talents and skill level already as a complete six-tool outside hitter," Wallis said.
 
The multi-medalist outside hitter from Indjija, Serbia has played for multiple volleyball clubs including Batajnica, Radnicki, and Indjija.
 
"She's played in some very competitive leagues in Serbia and she is coming to El Paso with a wealth of experience and talent to go along with it," Wallis said. "Not only is she a six-tool indoor player, but she's going to help us compete on the beach team as well and she's very excited about the possibilities of playing both for UTEP."
 
Pustahija is a two-time Serbian Championship silver medalist and received silver medals in the U17 Balkan Championship and the International City Tournament. She also won gold and silver in the Belgrade Championship.  
 
"We think Sara's talent and ability can really develop here in El Paso and she can entertain the fans here in the Sun City for both indoor and outdoor for the next four years," Wallis said.
