UTEP-NM State Launch I-10 Rivalry Challenge

EL PASO, Texas – The UTEP-NM State football game is just 12 days away! Now UTEP fans can help the Miners beat the Aggies both on and off the field by participating in the I-10 Rivalry Challenge. The Challenge begins today and continues through September 10.

The I-10 Rivalry Challenge is a giving challenge between the two universities. The winner of the Challenge will be the school that scores the most points.

Fans can score one point for UTEP by making a gift of $50 or more. Gifts will count towards membership in the Miner Athletic Club, the fundraising arm for UTEP Athletics. All monies raised will support UTEP student-athlete scholarships.

"UTEP and NM State have had a longstanding rivalry on the football field, and now the I-10 Rivalry Challenge presents fans with the opportunity to get involved," said UTEP Assistant Athletic Director/Annual Fund Sarah Tuohy. "We are excited to see UTEP alumni, Miner fans, and El Pasoans rally behind this giving challenge and help us outraise the Aggies."

The Miners and the Aggies will meet on the gridiron Saturday, Sept. 10 at 7 pm, the first matchup between the rivals in the Sun Bowl since 2018. Fans can purchase tickets by visitingwww.UTEPMiners.com/Tickets or by calling (915) 747-UTEP.
