EL PASO, Texas – The UTEP soccer program (2-10-2, 1-3-1 CUSA) has a split week of competition, first heading to Murfreesboro, Tenn., Thursday to take on Middle Tennessee (4-8-2, 0-4-0 CUSA) at 6 p.m. MT/ 7 p.m. CT before returning to the Sun City for the final home game of the season against Liberty (11-1-1, 2-1-1 CUSA) Sunday at 1:00 p.m. MT.

UP AND COMING AMPARANO
Angelina Amparano has started two straight matches and made four total appearances in net, tallying 236 minutes. She has allowed only one goal and made six saves in 18 shots faced. She also earned the shutout against WKU.

SCOUTING MIDDLE TENNESSEE
The Blue Raiders have scored 25 goals on the season but have yet to find their first CUSA win. Manon Lebargy is leading the charge with six scores, followed by Faith Adje with four. Elizabeth Slavinsky and Eleanor Gough both have three goals while Idun Kvalle and Campbell Kivisto have two apiece. Five other Blue Raiders have scored one goal each. Kvaale and Lauren Spaanstra are tied for the team high in assists with three. Hannah Suder has carried the brunt of the goalkeeping duties for Middle Tennessee, starting in all 13 appearances for almost 1,200 minutes. She has 53 saves and 29 goals against with two shutouts.

SERIES HISTORY WITH THE BLUE RAIDERS
The Miners are 3-5 all time against Middle Tennessee. In the last matchup between the two, UTEP came away with a 2-0 victory at home on 10/16/22.

SCOUTING LIBERTY
The Lady Flames have outscored opponents 26 to five this season. In its last two matchups, Liberty was bested 2-0 by NM State followed by a nil-nil tie at FIU. Rachel DeRuby leads all goal-scorers with five, while Ivy Garner, Saydie Holland, and Ava Goodman are right on her tail with four goals each. Allison Hansford has tallied three goals and Avenley Monteith is the final multi-goal player with two. Three other Lady Flames have scored one goal apiece. Hansford also paces all players in assists with four. Ainsley Leja has played every game in net for Liberty, allowing only five goals and making 29 saves. She has posted nine shutouts, which is tied for first in the nation. She is also ranked seventh in the country in goals against average.
