Select UTEP TF Student-Athletes to Compete at the Arkansas Qualifier Feb. 16

EL PASO, Texas – The UTEP track and field team added a final regular-season meet, as eight student athletes will compete at the Arkansas Qualifier in Fayetteville, Ark., at the Randal Tyson Track Center on Friday afternoon.

The select group of Miners are looking to improve on times/marks that will put them in the top 15 for indoor nationals.

The running events will begin at 1 p.m. MT/2 CT on with the women's 60-meter hurdles. Live results will be available here.

Live stream will be on ESPN+.

Making the trip on the men's side are Jakub Belik (high jump), Xavier Butler (60m, 200m), Aron Tanui (800m), and Jordani Woodley (60m H).

Competing for the women are Niesha Burgher (200m), Alla Parnov (pole vault), Marisa Simpson (60m H), and Rejoice Sule (200m).

NATIONAL RANKINGS – TFRRS LIST
Burgher is tied for ninth in the 200-meter dash with a school-record 22.90.

Sule is ranked 39^th in the women's 200 with a 23.37.

Simpson ranks 12^th in the women's 60-meter hurdles with an 8.11.

Parnov ranks 41^st in the women's pole vault with a school-record 4.15m (13-7.25).

Woodley ranks 32^nd in the men's 60-meter hurdles with a school-record 7.73.

Butler ranks 48^th in the men's 200-meter dash with a 20.95.

Tanui ranks 46^th in the men's 800-meter event with a 1:48.76.
