UTEP Track & Field Eyes the CUSA Indoor Championships Feb. 23-24

EL PASO, Texas – The UTEP Miners will look to capture a league title at the 2024 Conference USA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Lynchburg, Va., at the Liberty Indoor Track Complex on Friday and Saturday.
 
The two-day meet will start Friday 10 a.m. ET/8 MT with combined events (heptathlon, pentathlon). The field events will start at 11 a.m. MT with the women's pole vault, while the track events will commence at 1 p.m. MT with the women's mile trial. Saturday will begin with the conclusion of the combined events at 8:30 a.m. MT, while the field events will start with the women's shot put at 10 a.m. MT. The track events will start at noon MT with the women's mile final. The meet will conclude at 3:15 p.m. MT with the men's 4x400-meter relay.

Murillo (weight throw), Esther Osisike (shot put, weight throw), Alla Parnov (pole vault), Marisa Simpson (60m H), Rejoice Sule (60m, 200m, 4x400, DMR), Princess Uche (400m, 4x400) and Karen Villa Medina (pentathlon). 
 
THE LAST TIME
The UTEP men's team last won the CUSA Indoor title during the 2014 season, while the women captured the 2019 indoor championship.
