4/13/2024 11:35:00 PM

LONG BEACH, Calif. – UTEP track and field completed a four-meet weekend with a pair of Miners Jakub Belik (high jump) and Aleks Hristov (discus) setting personal bests at the Beach Invitational in Jack Rose Track on Saturday.

"I was pleased with some of the performances this weekend overall and really happy with Aleks and Jakub," UTEP Director of Track & Field Mika Laaksonen said. "The weather didn't cooperate with the competitors this weekend. The high winds I think affected some of our sprinters and hurdlers, but Loubna had a good performance despite the wind. We're looking forward to coming back to California to compete at the long-running and prestigious Mt. SAC Relays next weekend before hosting the conference championships in less than a month."
