11/21/2025 10:32:00 AM

DALLAS – UTEP standout Neil Campbell has been voted to the 2025 Conference USA Football All-Academic Team, the league office revealed Friday. He boasts a perfect 4.0 GPA while studying nonprofit administration. Campbell is the first Miner to earn placement on the team since Elijah Klein and Joshua Sloan did so in 2023.

The transfer from Indiana Wesleyan has been a perfect fit for the Orange and Blue. He has piled up 56 tackles (26 solo), which is good enough for sixth on the team and tied 20th in the league. Campbell has broken up three passes, recorded two sacks (most among CUSA DBs) and forced one fumble. He also has notched 6.0 tackles for loss (tied 17th CUSA).

Campbell has started every game at corner back, and he enjoyed a three-game surge in the middle of league play with double-digit stops. He was credited with 11 tackles against ULM, 10 vs. LA Tech and a collegiate career-high 14 against Liberty. His sacks came against UT Martin and Kennesaw State, respectively.
