NEW ORLEANS – The UTEP men's and women's track and field teams, along with student-athletes Jakub Belik and Loubna Benhadja, were honored in the classroom as the Miners were named to the 2025 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team list.

Belik concluded his career with the Miners by winning his sixth consecutive Conference USA high jump championship (three indoor, three outdoor). The native of Jaromer, Czech Republic, leaped 2.14 meters (7-0.25) to take gold in the outdoor event in May in Murfreesboro. He won the indoor event at 2.15 meters (7-0.5). He came up short at the 2025 West First Round of advancing to nationals. Belik maintained a 3.68 GPA in computer science.

Benhadja is coming off a successful campaign in which she advanced to compete in the 400-meter hurdles at the 2025 NCAA OTF Championships in Eugene, Ore., in June. The native of Blida, Algeria, clocked in a personal-best 56.77 at the West First Round to advance. She was an Honorable Mention All-American following her performance. She took her first gold medal in the 400 hurdles at the CUSA Championships with a time of 56.89. Benhadja had a 3.34 GPA in multidisciplinary studies.

The UTEP men's team produced a 3.01 GPA, while the women's squad worked towards a 3.25 GPA.
