UTEP Track & Field Announces 2026 Schedule, Set to Host Three Meets

Miners to Host Winter All-Comers Meet Saturday, Dec. 6

EL PASO – First-year UTEP track and field head Francesca Green announced the 2026 schedule on Tuesday.

Headlining the slate are three meets UTEP is hosting. The Miners will host the Winter All-Comers Meet on Dec. 6, the Miners Invitational on March 19-21, and the Sun City Classic on April 11.

The indoor season begins on Jan. 16-17, at Texas Tech's Corky Classic, while the outdoor season commences with the Miners Invitational.

The first is the Winter All-Comers Meet at Kidd Field on Saturday, Dec. 6. This will be a community event open to the public – $15 per person (no event limit). Competitors must be in high school or older. The field events will begin at 10 a.m. MT with the hammer (m/w combined) and will conclude at 1:30 p.m. with the shot put (m/w combined). The running events will begin at 12 p.m. MT with the 4x100-meter relay and will conclude at 2:20 p.m. with the 4x200-meter relay. Admission is free for all spectators.

"We're fired up to roll out our 2026 schedule and set the bar for what it truly means to be Miner Built. Our athletes have attacked this fall with purpose, and this schedule gives us the perfect blend of elite competition and key developmental opportunities," Green said. These meets aren't just competitions; they're a celebration of Miner pride, a chance to showcase our team, and an opportunity to reconnect UTEP Track & Field with the city in a powerful way. Every meet on this schedule is a chance to level up, and this group is ready to rise to every moment."

UTEP will then host the Miners Invitational on March 19-21 (Thu-Sat) at Kidd Field (high school, collegiate/open). The second edition of the Sun City Classic will be held on Saturday, April 11, at Kidd Field. More information will follow leading up to the meets.
