UTEP’s Noah Botsford Added to Ray Guy Award Watch List

AUGUSTA, Ga. – UTEP punter Noah Botsford was announced to the 2025 Ray Guy Ongoing Watch List following his performance last week. 
 
Botsford made his UTEP debut on Aug. 30 at Utah State. The junior transfer from Valdosta State booted a 64-yard punt on his first attempt as a Miner. Overall, Botsford finished with a 47.6 average after tallying 381 yards on eight punts. He placed one inside the 20 and had a touchback. 
 
The junior from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., ranks 24th in FBS and third in Conference USA in punting average. His 64-yarder was the longest on the road by a UTEP punter since 2023.
 
While at Valdosta State, Botsford punted 78 times for 3,371 yards (43.2 avg.) in 24 games played. He tallied five touchbacks, 20 fair catches, 30 inside the 20 and 20 50+ yard boots. 
 
THE RAY GUY AWARD
The Ray Guy Award – named for football's premier punter – honors the nation's best collegiate punter in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS). The Augusta Sports Council created the Ray Guy Award in 2000 to honor Thomson, Ga., native and College and Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee, Ray Guy. The Ray Guy Award is a member of the National College Football Awards Association (NCFAA).
