FINAL RESULTS
HOLLISTER, Mo. – The UTEP women's golf team placed third out of 14 teams at the Ozarks National Invitational, posting a 50-over-par 914 (312–300–302) across three rounds at Ozarks National Golf Course. The Miners climbed one spot in the final round to secure their second top-three finish in the last three tournaments and their third straight top-five result.
"We got off to a tough start but adjusted nicely," head coach
Steve Sims said. "I am really proud of Blanca for an incredible last two days and her third-place finish."
Freshman
Blanca Yrizar paced UTEP with a tie for third at 6-over-par 222 (78–69–75), marking the first top-three finish of her collegiate career and her second consecutive top-10 showing. Yrizar moved up one spot in the final round to earn a share of third on the individual leaderboard.
Luciana Origel tied for 14th at 13-over-par 229 (76–77–76), while
Amelia Fridlund made a strong move up the standings, jumping 13 spots to finish 21st at 15-over-par 231 (81–77–73).
Atikan Cherdchoo tied for 24th at 17-over-par 233 (78–77–78), and
Taline Kyoumjian rounded out the lineup tied for 28th at 20-over-par 236 (80–77–79).
Host Missouri State claimed the team title with a 40-over-par 904 (303–295–306), followed by South Dakota State in second at 48-over-par 912 (315–291–306).
Individually, South Dakota's Ella Greenberg earned medalist honors at 4-over-par 220 (76–75–69). McLennan Community College's Aaliyah Hryniewiecka-Irwin placed second at 5-over-par 221 (74–74–73), while Yrizar shared third at 6-over-par 222 alongside Missouri State's Chloe Bolte (74–72–76).

The Miners head to the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic, April 7–8, hosted by Wyoming at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club in Maricopa, Ariz., before competing at the Conference USA Championship, April 20–22 in Frisco, Texas.
