FINAL RESULTS
MARICOPA, Ariz. - The UTEP women's golf team wrapped up play at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic on Wednesday, finishing 11th overall after carding an 886 (288-307-291, +22) at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club.
The Miners climbed one spot in the final round behind a strong closing score of 291 to secure their position in a competitive field.
Nichapas Thawinwan led the way for UTEP, surging 17 spots on the final day to finish tied for 19th at 218 (+2). She fired a final-round 70, her best round of the tournament, marking the second time this season she has been the Miners' top finisher.
Atikan Cherdchoo and
Taline Kyoumjian both turned in top-35 performances. Cherdchoo jumped five spots in the final round to tie for 31st at 220 (+4) after rounds of 74-74-72, while Kyoumjian, competing as an individual, matched that total (74-73-73—220, +4) to also tie for 31st. Kyoumjian's 220 marked her best 54-hole score of the season.
Blanca Yrizar finished strong, jumping three spots to finish at 223 (+7), highlighted by an opening-round 68, while
Amelia Fridlund finished at 227 (+11).
Luciana Origel rounded out the lineup, finishing at 233 (+17).
No. 22 Iowa State captured the team title with an 838 (-26), while Sacramento State and BYU tied for second at 861 (-3).
Individually, Iowa State's Nichakorn Pinprayoon claimed medalist honors with a 199 (-17). Arizona State's Kate Dillon placed second at 202 (-14), followed by UNLV's Pin Hsi Chen in third at 206 (-10).

The Miners will compete in the 2026 Conference USA Championships, April 20-22 at Stonebriar Country Club in Frisco Texas.
