2015 C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll

2017 (SENIOR): Played in 11 games, making six starts … primarily used as a blocking tight end … UTEP allowed zero sacks against WKU and UTSA … Miners allowed 1.0 sack at no. 7 Oklahoma … running game hit 100 yards or more in seven contests while rushing touchdowns were scored in the first six games of the season … Miners rushed for season-high two touchdowns against UTSA … Miners gained a season-high 410 yards of total offense and rushed for season-most 164 yards with a score against LA Tech in which Joshua Fields hit a career-high 137 yards … Miners rushed for 163 yards and a score against WKU.

2016 (JUNIOR): Played in all 12 games … registered two receptions for eight yards and a touchdown … used in multiple blocking schemes as efforts helped Aaron Jones rush for a program single-season record 1,773 yards … team averaged 185.5 yards rushing and scored 20 rushing touchdowns … hauled in first career touchdown on a four-yard catch at Florida Atlantic … recorded a four-yard reception against Southern Miss.

2015 (SOPHOMORE): Played in 11 contests, including making first collegiate start at Arkansas during the season opener … caught one pass for two yards during a victory against Florida Atlantic … used as a blocking tight end, helping the Miners gain a season-high 542 yards during a come-from-behind overtime victory at rival NM State … UTEP rushed for a season-high 269 yards and three scores against the Aggies. 

2014 (FRESHMAN): Played in all 13 games as a true freshman on special teams and on offense.

PRIOR TO UTEP: Four-year starter at Cleveland High School (Rio Rancho, N.M.) ... played tight end and defensive end for the Storm ... caught 43 passes for 682 yards (15.9 avg.) and three touchdowns ... tallied 31 tackles (four solo), 6.5 tackles for loss and two sacks ... helped No. 3 ranked Storm to an 11-2 record in 2013 ... registered a season-high 172 yards receiving on seven catches and a touchdown in a 38-14 win over Volcano Vista High School ... caught a season-high eight passes for 106 yards during a 41-21 win over Clovis High School ... hauled in six passes for 110 yards and a score in a 52-12 victory over Hobbs High School ... a two-star recruit on Rivals.com and ranked fifth on New Mexico Top Recruits List ... was a two-time All-District 1-5A first team honoree ... was named 2013 District Player of the Year, 2013 Albuquerque Football Coaches Association's All-Metro first team and 2011 All-District honorable mention ... part of 2011 state championship squad ... also played on the basketball squad at Cleveland HS ... graduated in December 2013 and began working out with the Miners during the spring of 2014.

PERSONAL: Son of Mike and Cindy Napier ... graduated with a criminal justice degree in May 2017 ...pursuing a degree in Master of Arts in Leadership Studies.
